Founded in 2004, Nautilus Capital LLC is a boutique research firm assisting institutional clients in making informed investment decisions and achieving better risk adjusted returns. With offices in Chicago & New York, Nautilus is a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) and Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) that serves as an outsourced research & trading team dedicated to delivering unbiased and client-driven analysis to equity portfolio managers and global macro trading groups.

Our Experience

The partners of Nautilus have extensive experience in proprietary trading, modeling and managing risk in a variety of market environments with combined experience of over 50 years. Nautilus has worked as a consultant to investment banks, broker dealers and hedge funds and has published hundreds of market studies substantiated by technical, statistical and fundamental analysis. They have built relationships with many other leading researchers and investment managers. This breadth of experience uniquely qualifies Nautilus to advise clients over the whole life cycle of a successful trading idea — from strategic concepts to the interpretation of objective evidence to real world implementation.

Nautilus then uses quantitative techniques to identify a market’s most persistent technical and fundamental characteristics, to uncover relationships and to build forecasting models. Finally, Nautilus relies on its experience and ongoing observations to illuminate the most attractive trading opportunities and the best way to exploit them.
